Getting Started

On desktop, a collapsible sidebar runs along the left side of the screen. It contains all your primary navigation links:

Dashboard — Your home screen with donation totals and tax estimate
Impact — Your giving impact summary (Premium, 3+ finalized donations required)
Donations — Your full donation list
Charities — Manage your saved charities
Reports — Export and download your donation records
Profile — Your account and settings

Click the sidebar toggle button in the top-left to collapse or expand the sidebar. When collapsed, icons are shown in place of text labels.

Total Donations - The count of all your donations for the selected year
Total Value - The combined dollar value of all donations
Estimated Tax Savings - Based on your tax profile (requires profile completion)
Recent Donations - Quick view of your most recent donations
Year Filter - Controls which tax year’s data is shown on the dashboard. This filter affects dashboard totals, charts, and estimates only.

Note: How the Year Filter Works

The Year Filter changes what year of data you are viewing on the dashboard
It does not change or preselect the year for new donations
New donations always use the date you enter during the donation flow
To log a prior-year donation, select the correct date on the Donation Details step of the Add donation wizard.

Draft donations appear with a "Draft" badge and are not included in the totals until finalized.

Navigate to Charities in the sidebar (desktop) or tap Charities on the mobile bottom bar
Click Add Charity
Enter the charity's information:
Name (required) - The organization's name
EIN/Tax ID - The charity's tax identification number (helpful for tax records and exports)
Address - Street address (line 1 and line 2), city, state, and postal code
Notes - Any additional information you want to remember
Click Save

You can also create a new charity on the fly while adding a donation — just click the option to add a new charity during the donation wizard.

Note: Duplicate charity names are allowed, since the same organization may have multiple locations.

You can export any single donation as a PDF receipt directly from the app:

From the Edit Donation page: Open a donation by clicking on it, then click the Export PDF button at the top of the page
From an expanded donation card: On the Dashboard or All Donations page, expand a donation card and click the Export PDF button at the bottom of the details

The downloaded PDF includes:

The file is automatically named based on the donation type and date (e.g., Donation_Receipt_Money_2026-01-15.pdf).

Giving Summary — Your all-time totals: number of donations, total value donated, years of giving, and unique charities supported
Impact Cards — Real-world equivalencies for what you've donated (e.g. meals provided, school supplies funded, trees planted). Only categories where your giving reaches a meaningful threshold are shown.
Donation Breakdown — A chart showing how your donations are split across types (goods, money, mileage, etc.) for the selected year
Top Goods — Your most-donated goods categories with quantities and values
Charities Supported — All organizations that received your donations in the selected year, with per-charity totals

Update Payment Method - Click "Manage Payment" in Profile Settings to open the Stripe billing portal
Download Payment Receipt - Click "Download Receipt" in Profile Settings to open your official Stripe payment receipt. From there, you can download a PDF copy of your receipt or invoice
Cancel Subscription - You'll keep Premium access until your current billing cycle ends
Reactivate Subscription - If you've scheduled a cancellation, you can reactivate before the period ends
Downgrade to Free - Your existing donations are preserved; Free plan limits only apply to new donations going forward
